BEIJING: China says it will assist Pakistan in enhancing the productivity of its industrial sector.

This was stated by Chinese Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Zhang Yesui at a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Beijing on Tuesday.

He said this cooperation will extend to transfer of technology besides establishment of new industries in Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will change the course of history in the region. He said this project will help generate employment opportunities and eliminate phenomenon of extremism in Pakistan’s society

He said that Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with China on various regional and international issues, including One China and the issue of Tibet.—NNI
