RECORDER REPORT

KARACHI: Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIAP), Islamabad has resumed its operation after runway maintenance.

According to details, Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has suspended all operations at BBIAP for runway maintenance and directed all airlines to divert their flights to Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIAP), Lahore.

Meanwhile, the spokesman for the PCAA confirmed that the BBIAP has resumed its operation after few hours of maintenance work; adding that this was routine matter and all airlines were informed accordingly. On the other hands, passengers have expressed resentment over the flights diversion, saying that neither airlines nor the PCAA had disseminated any information in this regard that led serious difficulties for them.
