LAHORE: Sports Board Punjab (SBP) would extend all out assistance to medal-winning athletes, Secretary Sports Punjab Nayyar Iqbal said.

He said this while meeting the Pakistan ju-jitsu team which has won 15 medals in Asian Beach Ju-Jitsu Championship in Sri Lanka here Thursday.

Nayyar said that winning 15 medals in a single event is a great performance and it must be acknowledged at all levels. “We expect that our talented players will put up the same extraordinary performance in future major events like Asian Games,” he said.

Earlier, Pakistan Ju-Jitsu Federation (PJJF) President Khalil Ahmed Khan briefed the Secretary Sports Punjab about the performance and history of national ju-jitsu team. He revealed that Pakistan team will also participate in the fifth Asian Beach Games scheduled to be held in Da Nang, Vietnam next month.
