CHICAGO: Spot basis bids for hard red winter wheat in the southern US Plains were steady on Monday as farmers tracked weaker futures prices, merchandisers said.

Grain investors at the Chicago Board of Trade are exercising caution while awaiting the US Department of Agriculture’s monthly World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) and Crop Production reports due on Friday.

HRW wheat basis bids for product shipped by barge to the US Gulf Coast were steady.
