PESHAWAR: Chairman Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has said that Quetta carnage has caused immeasurable national loss to the country and the government should create national harmony to combat the menace of terrorism.

Sherpao said that the National Action Plan should be implemented in letter and spirit to eliminate terrorism and extremism from the country. He regretted that the government had not paid proper heed to the issue because pragmatic steps were needed to restore the trust of the masses.

He enquired about the health of the injured persons and prayed for their early recovery. He was accompanied by KP Senior Minister, Sikandar Hayat Khan.

He condemned the attack which targeted the judiciary. He said that it was aimed at destabilizing the state institutions and drastic measures for concerted efforts were required to foil the designs of the enemies.

He reiterated the demand for the formation of a Trust which would compensate and support the victims of terrorism. He called upon the political parties and other stakeholders to shun differences and work for eradication of terrorism and extremism with national spirit.
