LAHORE: The Punjab Wildlife & Parks Department (PWPD) Director General Khalid Ayyaz Khan has directed the Deputy Director Safari Zoo Lahore to make arrangements for providing free wi-fi facility to the visitors.

He asked the officials to negotiate with different cellular companies and PTCL high ups for providing free of cost facility to the visitors.

He issued these orders while inspecting the ongoing development work in Safar Zoo Lahore here on Tuesday. Deputy Director Safar Zoo Syed Zafar ul Hassan, Contractors and officers of communication and works department were also present on this occasion.

DG inspected the under construction food court, play land and new cages for animals.

He asked the deputy director of safari zoo to inspect the ongoing work on daily basis. He stressed the need for not compromising on quality of entertainment facilities to be provided to visitors of the safari. No leniency would be tolerated in this regard, he warned the officials.

He asked the high ups of safari zoo to prepare a summary to meet the shortage of employees by hiring daily wagers. He called for completing development works at the earliest by increasing workers, preparing statues of animals according to the samples given to the contractors and rechecking before the visit of steering committee supervising the development works on behalf of the provincial government.
