KARACHI: Some 15 local auto parts manufacturers are going to participate in the international auto exhibition ‘Automechanika’ to be organized in Frankfurt Germany from September 13 to 17, 2016.

Talking to Business Recorder, Mashood Ali Khan, senior vice-chairman of Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts & Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM) said that the association was striving to increase exports related to auto sector up to around US$5billion in coming five years.

He said that PAAPAM members were presently competing with China, India, Thailand and Vietnam and lauded the efforts of the TDAP for its support and encouragement to the engineering sector in different trade fair. “We are very confident to getting orders from across Europe and others countries during the said international auto expo,” he said.

Moreover, Mashood said that PAAPAM would also utilize the platform of ‘Automechanika’ for networking with international auto parts distributors, buying houses and encourage them to visit in its exhibition PAPS 2017 and hoped to have more foreign participation in it than past.

Pakistani companies which are participating in the Automechanika are A-One Techniques, Darson Industries (Pvt) Ltd., Eastern Agro Industries, Harris Silicon & Gas (Pvt) Ltd., Infinity Engineering (Pvt Ltd), Jodhala Complex (Pvt) Ltd., Kortech Auto Industries (Pvt) Ltd., Landhi Engineering (Pvt) Ltd., Mannan Shahid Forging Ltd., Mehran Commercial Enterprises, Rastgar Engineering Company (Pvt) Ltd , Rubatech Manufacturing Co Ltd., Thal Engineering, Thermosole Industries (Pvt) Ltd., and Ahmed Traders.
