ISLAMABAD: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has issued promotors’ guides in six international languages: English, Chinese, Turkish, Arabic, German and Persian. The step will encourage and facilitate foreign investment in the country. Available on the SECP’s website, the promotors’ guides provide comprehensive information regarding incorporation of a company in Pakistan, fee structure, facilities available for online registration and post incorporation statutory compliance to potential foreign investors in their native languages.

“Pakistan offers tremendous investment opportunities and foreign investor companies are also eager to benefits from the CPEC and Gawdar Port projects. These guidebooks would be very useful to foreign investors aiming to invest in Pakistan in understanding the incorporation process,” said SECP Chairman Zafar Hijazi adding that Pakistan’s regulatory environment was among the most investor-friendly in the world.

Apart from taking various facilitation measures, like the promoters guide the SECP has been frequently organizing awareness seminars and workshops on benefits of corporatisation, eServices, mandatory online filing and corporate compliance across the country in collaboration with chambers of commerce, tax bar associations and other relevant organisations.—PR
