RECORDER REPORT

LAHORE: The Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) will train 1,500 drivers annually in collaboration with the city traffic police. This training programme will be started from next month.

Chairperson Tevta Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said this while talking to Chief Traffic Officer Tayyab Hafeez Cheema during his visit to Tevta Secretariat here on Wednesday.

Irfan said that females would be given preference in imparting training in that programme so that they might easily learn driving. In this connection, Tevta officers will soon meet with the officers of traffic police to arrange curricula and plan for successful starting of the said programme.
