LAHORE: After a successful car taxi service, Uber Pakistan has launched rickshaw service in Lahore on Monday.

Chairman Punjab IT Board Dr Umar Saif inaugurated Uber rickshaw service by taking the first ride at the Arfa Software Technology Park on Monday.

The Secretary Excise Punjab Ahmed Bilal, CCPO Lahore Captain Amin Wains, DIG Operations Haider Ashraf, Chief Traffic Officer Lahore Tayyab Cheema and Loic Amado and Uzair Yousaf of the Uber were also present.

Dr Umar Saif said, “Uber Rickshaw is another way of using technology to offer more choice and making life simpler offering cheap and safe mode of transportation. It will also help rickshaw drivers to enhance their earnings through modern technology.
