KARACHI: The All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) expressed its pleasure on 40% increase in the advertising budget by the Chief Minister, Balochistan and welcomed his assurances for judicious release of advertisements to Balochistan based publications.

Umer Mujib Shami, Secretary General, APNS announced the decisions of the Executive Committee meeting chaired by the President, APNS, Sarmad Ali held at Quetta on November 24, 2016.

The Executive Committee members were invited at a luncheon meeting by the Chief Minister Balochistan, Sardar Sanaullah Zehri. The APNS office-bearers placed the problems faced by Balochistan based publications to the Chief Minister, Balochistan who had very kindly announced to increase the advertising budget of the province by 40%, assured allocations for display advertisements and look into the grievances of local publications for judicious release of advertisements.

The APNS Office Bearers expressed their thanks to the Chief Minister for accepting the demands. The Acting Governor, Balochistan, Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani also hosted a dinner to the visiting members of the Executive Committee.—PR
