MIRPUR: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Raja Farooq Haider had said that India was committing gross human rights abuses in occupied Kashmir and the entire population in the held valley was living under extended curfew for four months.

While talking to a delegation of Lahore High Court Bar Association, led by Rana Zia Abdul Rehman on Monday, the Prime Minister condemned the massive human rights violations in IoK and reaffirmed the commitment of the AJK government to utilize its full strength and resources for the liberation of Kashmir.

He assured the people of IoK that they would never find themselves alone in their struggle for right to self-determination.

The PM also lauded the services of lawyers’ community for the stability of democratic system and supremacy of constitution in the country.

He said the commitment of lawyers for the protection of democracy and democratic system was proof of their determination.

He said the lawyers’ community has given numerous sacrifices for restoration of judiciary.

The role of lawyers’ community is a paramount importance in introducing reforms in the system of provision of justice, he added.—NNI
