LONDON: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif reached London after a tour of Turkey on Monday.

Shahbaz Sharif has gone to London for his medical check-up. He was received by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supporters on the airport. Before his arrival his supporters clashed with each other and police had to intervene to control them.

According to details four members of the PML-N have been taken into custody by the airport security.

The reason for the clash was reported as eagerness to become the first to welcome the Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif at the airport.

Shehbaz Sharif also expressed anger over this incident.

Earlier while in Turkey, the Punjab Chief Minister participated in inaugural ceremony of Abdullah Gul Presidential Museum and Library in Kaysere, Turkeyon Sunday. The function was attended by Presidents, Prime Ministers, Ministers and senior personalities from different countries of the world.

In his address, former Turk president Abdullah Gul and other speakers especially mentioned Shahbaz Sharif in their address and thanked him for his participation in the ceremony.

Turk President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turk Prime Minister Binali Yildirm and former Turk president Abdullah Gul addressed the inaugural ceremony.

Talking to the media after the ceremony, Shahbaz Sharif said that participating in inaugural ceremony of Abdullah Gul Museum and Library is a great honour for him. He said that Abdullah Gul Museum and Library will prove to be great asset of Turk history and present and coming generations will benefit from it.

Shahbaz Sharif also had one on one meetings with a number of world leaders including President of Bosnia Bakir Izetbegovic, former Afghan President, Hamid Karzai, former President of Turkey and ministers.—INP
