KARACHI: Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) on Thursday seized huge quantity of fine quality hashish, foreign brand liquor and beer cans from general area Sir Dasht near Pasni Airport and Nalient.

According to PCG spokesman, Major Zafar Ahmed (R), PCG officials received credible information from intelligence sources about the smuggling of narcotics around surrounding area of Pasni airport. Accordingly special search teams were detailed for purpose. During the search of general area, PCG officials recovered 590 kilograms of fine quality of hashish from suspicious hut and 125 kilograms of hashish, 40x bottles of foreign brands liquor and 75 cans of beer dumped under the sand at Nalient near Coastal Line.

This hidden consignment of Hashish, was planned to be transported to Middle East. Approximate value of seized items in the international market is Rs.11 Millions. Further investigation and legal process is under way.
