PESHAWAR: Secretary General Peshawar Cricket Council of the Blind Habib Ullah Khattak Friday said that Pakistan has good chances of winning the second edition of the Blind Twenty20 World Cup to be held in India from January 27, 2017.

He said that the player of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have a key role in steering Pakistan to win two World Cup titles and remained runners-up in the remaining editions. He said so that four World Cup of the One-Day International held and Pakistan won two and got runners-up position in the other two edition, which is so far unmatchable achievement.

About Pakistan chances of winning the Twenty20 World Cup, Habib Ullah Khattak disclosed that Pakistan got runners-up position while India won the World title of the Twenty20 edition held in Bangalore, India and this time the team has good chances to bring the title home.

He said it is very encouraging that four of our players have short-listed for the national camp to be starting at National Cricket Academy, Lahore from January 16 and will continue till January 26 before the team leaving for India on January 27 for the Twenty20 World Cup.

Habib Ullah Khattak, a former international cricketer, said that Abdul Manan, Haroon Khan, Sana Ullah Khan and Mohsin Khan have been short-listed for the camp purely looking after their all round performances with the bat and ball.

He said all of the four players are all rounders’ with Abdul Manan is in good form and hopefully like the other international players Haroon Khan, Sana Ullah Khan and Mohsin Khan Abdul Manan, a B1 category, will make his debut.

Abdul Manan has a century in his credit and good dashing batsman and also good at the ball as well. Haroon is a B2 category players and has good performance in the international with a dashing century as well in his credit before calling for the national team. San Ullah is a B3 category player and good all-rounder, he said.
