KARACHI: The Chief Minister’s Census Complaint Cell at the CM Secretariat has received 390 complaints during the last 15 days from March 16 to March 31 and the same have been sent to the concerned authorities.

The Complaint Cell received 62 complaints from District South, 42 from Central, 106 from East, 37 from West, 63 from Malir, 23 from Korangi, 42 from Hyderabad, four from District Jamshoro and 11 from Ghotki.

Most of the complaints are about non-arrival of census teams, so far. The other complaints are about non-counting of the houses; counting of only ground floor and leaving the upper flours uncounted; filling the column of mother tongue without asking the family about their mother tongue; counting less number of family members than their actual numerical strength; bringing defective maps of villages in which village names are missing. The complaints were brought in the knowledge of the chief minister and on his instructions, the same were sent to concerned authorities for necessary action.
