LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is in contact with the Sri Lankan Cricket Board for undertaking tour of Sri Lankan cricket team to Pakistan this year.

The sources in the board claimed that the PCB has proposed to the Sri Lankan cricket board to undertake short series of ODIs and Twenty20 series in the month of December. The proposed series is expected to be staged in Lahore.

The World-XI team is also scheduled to undertake tour to Pakistan in September this year. In the World-XI, there would be foreign players from Australia, West Indies, Sri Lanka and South Africa. The sources further claimed that talks with Sri Lankan Board officials are in initial stage and some positive response in expected.

The world had witnessed the type of security which was provided in the Pakistan Super League-II (PSL-II) final at Lahore. The PSL final had proved a great breakthrough in reviving international cricket in Pakistan, cricket analysts believe.
