LONDON: Global coffee exports rose 5.7 percent in June from a year earlier to 10.44 million 60-kg bags, data from the International Coffee Organization (ICO) showed on Monday.

For the first nine months of the 2016/17 season, which began on Oct. 1 last year, coffee exports rose 5.6 percent to total 92.29 million bags.

Arabica coffee exports in June were at 6.55 million bags, 11.7 percent higher than a year earlier. Cumulative arabica exports for the season to date rose 7.3 percent to 58.22 million bags. Robusta coffee exports, however, fell 3.1 percent in June, from a year earlier, to 3.89 million bags. Cumulative robusta exports for the season to date rose 2.9 percent to 34.08 million bags.—Reuters
