LAHORE: Mujahid Pervaiz took charge as new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO).

He has replaced Syed Wajid Ali Kazmi, who was removed by the Ministry of Power for a loss of Rs2.136 billion during December 2017.

The new CEO is supposed to face the challenge of overcoming power theft in the Company, bring an end to the phenomenon of over-billing and nabbing the defaulters.

It may be noted that the Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) had conducted a detailed review of the performance of all the distribution companies (DISCOs) for the month of December.
