KARACHI: Another legislator quit Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and joined Pak Sarzameen Party, here on Sunday.

Sumeta Afzal, elected on reserved seat for women announced her joining of the Pak Sarzameen Party as many MNAs and MPAs have bidden farewell to their MQM-P, so far.

She is currently part of Sindh Assembly standing committees on Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Energy, Women Development, Sports and Youth Affairs and Industries and Commerce.

The Saturday defection of Shabbir Qaimkhani from MQM-P to PSP evoked an instant reaction from Farooq Sattar who called the ongoing phenomenon a conspiracy to wipe Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan off political scene.

The Pak Sarzameen Party leadership has told the media that doors of PSP are now closed for Farooq Sattar conveying that they would not countenance Sattar in Pak Sarzameen Party.
