RECORDER REPORT

LAHORE: The Punjab Agriculture Department on Friday recovered fake fertilizer worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from an unregistered factory working near Saggian Bypass.

The raiding team was led by Assistant Director Agriculture (Extension) Lahore Rao Muhammad Anwar and Assistant Director Agriculture (Extension) Ferozewala Rana Qurban

Ali.

The raiding team also arrested six persons from the spot and lodged a case with Shahdara Police Station against the accused.

A spokesman of the department said that the raid was a part of campaign launched on special directives of Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar to eliminate the menace of fake pesticides from the province.

He said those involved in this heinous crime would be dealt with an iron hand as the government is toeing zero tolerance police against fake fertilizers and pesticides.
