PESHAWAR: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Bannu on Saturday announced the results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual exams for 2019.

A total of 23,887 students were appeared in the examination out of which 20,760 were declared successful, with passing percentage of 87, according to results announced by the Controller of Examinations of the board, Adeel Khan during a position holders’ ceremony held in the board premises.

Students of Science group of Ikram Khan Durrani School secured all top positions in the exams. According to the results, Adil Hameed stood first by securing 1054 marks out of 1100. Roman Khan got second position by obtaining 1047 marks out of 1100, while Mohammad Afnan Khan secured third position by obtaining 1046 marks.

In Arts group, Safia Noreen of Ikram Khan Durrani School Bannu secured 889 marks out of 1100 and got first position. Maleka Musharraf of same school stood second by obtaining 885 marks, while Suman Fatima of Ikram Khan Durrani School was got third position by securing 879 marks.

In 9th Science group, as many as 19,899 male and female students were appeared, out of which 14,671 were remained successful with passing percentage of 74. In 9th Science and Arts group, a total of 24,570 male and female students were appeared, out of which 16,599 declared successful with passing percentage of 68.

In 10th Science group, a total of 19,638 male and female students were appeared out of which 17,848 declared pass with percentage of 91. Similarly, in Arts group, 4,249 male and female students were taken exams out of which 2,912 were declared successful with percentage of 69.

According to the results gazette, in the 10th Science and Arts groups, a total of 23,887 were appeared in the examination out of which 20,760 were remained successful, with passing percentage of 87.
