ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) was informed on Tuesday that four new testing laboratories would be operational soon, making a total 106 laboratories across the country to undertake Covid-19 tests.

The forum also finalized draft recommendations for incentives for doctors and paramedics, which will be announced after consultation with doctors/stakeholders.

The NCOC has undertaken in-depth review of National Anti-Covid-19 short-term action plan for the months of June and July to meet additional requirements.

The forum discussed in detail the incentives package for healthcare workers who are fighting Covid-19 on the frontlines.

To ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for containment of the Covid-19, authorities throughout Pakistan have taken widespread action against markets, industries, and transport.

Dedicated teams of all the provinces have ensured that those not adhering to health instructions/guidelines are sensitized on SOPs’ compliance.

Total 1,374 cases were consulted out of 5,823 requests through Tele Health Dashboard in which 188 doctors carried out consultation.

According to figures received from provinces during the last 24 hours about the actions taken for SOPs compliance are as follows:

In Balochistan, 691 violations have been observed due to which 250 shops and 92 transports/vehicles were temporarily closed/fined and cautioned.

In Punjab, 769 shops, eight industries, 776 transports were closed/fined/cautioned all across province on 2,865 SOP violations.

In Sindh, strict actions have been taken against SOP violators including shops and transporters all across Sindh.

In KP, 7,351 SOP violations were observed in which 302 shops, and 221 transporters were cautioned and sealed, while 1,933 individuals were fined.

In GB, 67 shops and 70 transporters were fined/sealed on 270 violations of health guidelines/instructions.

In ICT, 101 SOPs violations were marked in the ICT in which 13 hotels, 24 shops, two industries and 36 transporters were fined/sealed.

In AJK, 422 SOPs violations were observed in AJK during which 112 shops and 85 transporters were fined/sealed.
