Curfew clamped down in Mohmand Agency
PESHAWAR: To maintain law and order situation, curfew has been clamped down in all parts of Mohmand Agency except Prang Ghar tehsil, local administration said in a press release on Thursday.
In this connection announcement has been made from mosques through loudspeakers that curfew will be from night 8:30 pm to morning 4:30 am in all parts of the tribal region. The main Peshawar Bajaur Road will also be closed for all sorts of traffic in the tribal region.
Security forces has already banned on the motorcycle riding in the whole agency from the last week due to some threats.
Meanwhile, some unknown miscreants attack the house of Asad Khan (security guard of Mohmand Press Club) with hand grenades in Shani Khel area of Haleemzai tehsil last night at about 2:00 am. However, no loss of life or property reported in the incident.
Security sources confirmed the report and started investigations. It will be mentioned here that security is high alert in the whole tribal region and checking on various check posts were tightened.
Last night two mortar shells and a missile fired from unknown location by unknown miscreant on the agency headquarters Ghalanai midnight of Tuesday and Wednesday night at about 12: 40am, which landed in Government College of Management Sciences Ghalanai and on the link road of Ghalanai near Bazaar while the missile was landed in barren area near Sports Stadium Complex in front of Mohmand Rifles headquarters.
