APML to field various candidates in KP
PESHAWAR: All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) has announced to field candidates in maximum of the national and provincial assembly constituencies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the next general elections.
This was stated by APML Provincial Chief Organizer Aurangzeb Mohmand at a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Thursday. On this occasion several activists of various political parties led by Wahid Khan Khalil advocate (of PK-4) joined the party.
Mohmand said his party leadership was in contact with some of the political parties to form electoral alliance or at least take decisions on seat-to-seat adjustment in different districts. He said the adjustment would depend on vote bank of relevant candidates, saying efforts were under way to nominate reasonable candidates to win the election.
Expressing serious concern over the excessive loadshedding, the APML leader said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had promised to control power outages within 90 days but he could not do it even in four years. He said poverty, corruption, unemployment was fast growing in the country but the government had no concrete planning to control the problems.
Recalling the policies of former president Pervez Musharraf government, he said the credit went to the APML president who had taken action against corrupt elements through national accountability bureau which gave boost to the national economy.
Besides, he said Pervez Musharraf had decreased ratio of foreign loans and ensured freedom of expression in the country by issuing private television channels’ licenses to the people.
Mohmand said his party would try to play significant role in the 2018 elections so as to restore policies of Pervez Musharraf government in best of national interests.
