ISLAMABAD: The bill for delimitation of constituencies and reallocation of National Assembly seats on the basis of provisional census results was deferred again on Friday due to lack of strength of government benches during the session of the Lower House of the Parliament.

“The Constitutional (Amendment) Bill, 2017” was delayed as two-third (228) majority is required for approval of the bill.

Meanwhile, the opposition members of Balochistan National Party, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Pakhtunkhwa Mili Awami Party, Jamaat-e-Islami and other members from Balochistan staged a walkout from the National Assembly in a protest against the detention of Baloch women.

He said that law enforcers should arrest the leaders not women. “We will not tolerate the arrest of women. The women have been missing for many days,’ he said.

Afterwards, Essa Nori staged a walkout in protest against the arrest of Baloch women. At this moment, the members of Balochistan National Party, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Jamaat-e-Islami and other members from Balochistan joined Essa Nori in walkout from the House.
