KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy, Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar, has said that a ban has been imposed on transfers and postings of teachers of the education department for two months.

Presiding over a meeting, he said, purpose of this ban was to solve the issues of biometric system faced by the teachers. He said that certain complaints were being received regarding biometric system and we were trying to resolve them, timely. He also directed not to disturb curriculum activities while doing repair and renovation work at school buildings. He said development work should be done class-wise so that the students might continue their studies, smoothly.

Dahar directed the concerned officers to whatsapp him the pictures of schools before and after completion of repair and renovation work in order to judge quality and transparency of the work.  

He asked the secretary education schools to enhance check and balance system to stop misappropriation of the development funds.

The Minister also took notice of fee-hike by certain schools and directed the DG Private Institutions to prepare a detailed report, in this regard.

He advised the Secretary Education (Schools) to implement deceased quota policy in letter and spirit.

Secretaries Education Schools and Colleges Iqbal Hussain Durrani and Pervaiz Ahmed Seehar attended the meeting alongside other officials.
