KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that Pakistan Peoples’ Party leadership has decided to induct a new chief minister in his place. “I bow down before the decision of the party. It must have taken right decision.”

This he said while talking to media just after inaugurating Lincoln Corner at Liaquat Memorial Library established by US Consulate on Tuesday.

Brushing aside the impression of rift in the party ranks, he said “we all are PPP. We are like family members and we all are on the same page. There is no rift, no differences and no heart burning.”

“The new chief minister would complete the work he was leaving behind. The development portfolio of the city is quite impressive and with the completion of development works in the city, Karachi would give a beautiful look and we are also doing best for rest of the Sindh,” he said.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah said he had served the people of the province with heart and soul. “I tried my best to serve my people selflessly. It always remained my utmost effort to provide maximum job opportunities to the youth of this province,” he said, adding “people of this province have to assess my services because they are the best judges.”

He said the new chief minister would also work hard for the people of the province. “This was the legacy of Shaheed Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and the new chief minister would follow it as he did,” he added.

Latter, Syed Qaim Ali Shah went to the residence of Izharul Hassan, the leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly, and offered condolence over the death of his father.
