RECORDER REPORT

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Tuesday hinted at suing a major British newspaper for printing a document, accusing Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s children of raising 7 million pounds against four flats in Park Lane in London through offshore companies.

Speaking at a news conference, PML-N leaders Mohammad Zubair and Daniyal Aziz disputed the latest revelations made by PTI Chairman Imran Khan, which claimed Mariam Safdar as the only beneficiary of Nescoll and Nelson companies.

Aziz said that the letter which the PTI chief shared with the media was already published in The Guardian on April 5, 2016, two days after the Panama Leaks, adding the party is mulling suing the British newspaper for publishing a document which had nothing to do with the Panama Leaks.

“If the document is authentic, why the signature of Maryam is not visible as the specific column for the signature is shown blank and there is no signature whatsoever,” he said, adding Minerva Trust Company Limited has also not owned the document.
