WAZIRABAD: Three persons were killed and three others injured when two cars skidded off road and hit a tree here on Saturday.

Police and rescue sources said that two private cars while trying to overtake each other got out of control of drivers and struck tree by roadside at GT Road near Bhatti Mansoor area of Wazirabad.

Three persons were killed in the accident while three others sustained injuries who were rushed to a local hospital by rescue personnel, while one of them was referred to Lahore due to serious wounds.

Two bodies were handed over to heirs after identification, while one was in mortuary due to non-identification.
