Bride among 6 killed in landmine blast

PARACHINAR: Six including a bride were killed and several others injured when a vehicle hit a landmine at Pak-Afghan border on Saturday.

Sources said that a van carrying participants of a wedding struck the landmine on roadside in Danda Pathan area of Afghanistan bordering Kurram Agency.

Bride among six people died in the explosion while several others were left injured as the blast completely destroyed the vehicle.

The Afghan security forces cordoned of the area after the blast and launched search operation.—INP
