MULTAN: Women entrepreneurs and social welfare sub-committee of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) hailed comprehensive package for women empowerment by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for bringing women into mainstream of national development.

Addressing a meeting on Monday, Roomana Tanvir, convener of MCCI sub-committee and other members Sidrah Bakhtiar, Kausar Sheikh, Robina Abbas, Talat Habib, Huma Naseeb, Saadia, Shahida and Shaista said that a law regarding proper representation of women would bring good changes in the society as well as in the country.

They said it is a big step towards upholding of women rights. They also hailed the government decision to regularise the services of lady health workers and distribution of 200,000 more laptops worth Rs 8 billion among talented students.
