LAHORE: A cleanliness drive has been initiated at Lahore General Hospital (LGH) to ensure hygienic condition.

Prof Anjum Habib Vohra said it was the motto of General Hospital administration to provide all possible facilities to patients to help recover as early as possible. He said the current year was very important in respect to dengue and everyone has to strictly act upon the principles of cleanliness and hygiene

A comprehensive system comprising nine Foremen has been introduced in this connection in the hospital under which these Foremen would perform their duty in various blocks round-the-clock. These Foremen would also be responsible to check the vendors moving in the wards and corridors of the hospital and safeguard the government property and medical machinery. The Medical Superintendent LGH Dr Pervez Imtiaz has issued a notification on the direction of Principal PGMI and LGH Prof Anjum Habib Vohra in this connection. Prof Anjum Habib Vohra said said that spray was being repeated in all the wards and hostels of doctors and nurses at LGH.
