LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek on Thursday approached the Lahore High Court seeking dissolution of national and provincial assemblies.

The petitioner, vice-president PAT Punjab Chapter Khan Abdul Qayyum Khan, submitted that the majority of the members were involved in corruption therefore they did not qualify according to Article 62 and 63 of the constitution.

He therefore prayed to the court to dissolve the national and provincial assemblies.

He also prayed to the court to direct the Election Commission to hold fresh elections.
