ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Monday warned the Inspector General Police to let go the arrested workers of both PTI and PAT or they will siege the police stations to free the innocent people.

Imran who seemed in a good spirit told his supporters atop from his shipping container parked in front of the PM House main entrance that all the protesters held by the police in Islamabad and other major cities of the country should be immediately released.

“I would like to tell IG Islamabad Khalid Khttak to release my workers being detained at Aabpara, Kohsar and other police stations of the city by Tuesday or we will besiege all the police stations where they are being kept”, he maintained.

Imran accused the police of picking up injured PTI-PAT workers from the hospitals, adding any further detention of peaceful protesters will not be tolerated. He said the people in Pakistan are being treated worse than the animals of western countries.

“The way police unleashed brutal force on peaceful protesters on Saturday night is no less than a crime. Had this taken place in any western democracy, the police would have been in jail straight but here might is right and the people of Pakistan will not tolerate this anymore”, he added.

He said the past dictatorships did not usurp the people’s rights as it is being done by the incumbent parliament where they always harp the tune of democracy even not knowing the meaning of real democracy which we see in western society.

“In western democracies even their animals have more rights than people in Pakistan. You will be surprised to know that a policeman was sent to jail for six months after he was seen beating up a snuffer dog, so this is called democracy which protects even the rights of animals”, he lamented.

He said that he would give unemployment benefits to those without jobs like UK and other developed welfare states. The justice system in country, he added, will be improved as a society without justice sustain for any longer and as law of jungle prevails such societies like our where might is right.

“I really feel ashamed when poor people are being implicated in false cases…if an FIR can be registered against me, what to talk of an ordinary who has no money to hire a counsel to defend himself. The time has come we must stand up against these injustices and fight for our rights”, he added.

Imran said that the sole purpose of his struggle is to raise the living standards of the masses, adding Imran had everything such as fame, wealth etc, before coming into politics. “This is not my war and I urge you come forward and join me to accomplish the gigantic task of a new Pakistan,” he maintained.

He reiterated his success story of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and pledged to turn all the state-run government hospitals into model health facilities where there will be quality medical treatment to rich and the poor alike.

About the education system in the country, he said quality education is key to progress but in Pakistan has different system of education where the poor will not be able to compete with even an incompetent foreign qualified son of a rich, and this what the ruling elite has been doing to maintain the status quo.

The PTI chairman in a very pleasant mood said to the crowed to shout ‘go Nawaz go’ slogans, saying he must have been listening the voice of the people who want him to step down as the protest is taking place right under his nose.

He reiterated that no power of the world can save Nawaz Sharif, adding he has every right to beg the US State department to give statements in his favour, passing resolutions with the help of his cronies from the parliament.

“I can clearly see that my 18 years political struggle will bear the fruits. If not today, tomorrow or day after tomorrow will be your last day Nawaz Sharif… ‘alwida, alwida or bye, bye…’ Nawaz Sharif”, Imran said, with a big smile on his face with a full confidence to oust the premier.
