LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that people have given a mandate of five years to Pakistan Muslim League-N to serve the masses and resolve the problems being faced by the country and no effort should be spared in this regard. He expressed these views during a meeting with the Assembly members belonging to various districts of Punjab here on Wednesday, disclosed an official.

Talking to the elected representatives, the Chief Minister said the PML-N government will honour the mandate and come up to the expectations of the masses. “A stable democratic system is essential for national development and prosperity,” he added.

According to him, the PML-N leadership and workers have rendered innumerable sacrifices for the stability of democratic system and supremacy of constitution. The PML-N has always given preference to the interest of the country, as it is unwise to set aside national interests for the achievement of personal ends. They are determined to steer the country out of all crises.

Those who met the Chief Minister included Raja Abdul Hanif, Zafar Iqbal, Naeemullah Gul, Nazia Raheel, Syed Muhammad Mehfooz Mushhadi and Muhammad Zubair Khan.
