ISLAMABAD: Afghan-istan’s National Security Adviser Hanif Atmar telephoned Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz to convey deep condolences from the government and people of Afghanistan over the loss of innocent lives in the terrorist attack on the school in Peshawar Tuesday.

While strongly condemning the terrorist act directed at children, Atmar stated “terrorism is a menace for the entire region and has to be addressed through common endeavours,” according to Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam.

She said Afghan National Security Adviser added that the Afghan people were with their Pakistani brethren facing that grim national tragedy. “Sartaj Aziz thanked Atmar for this expression of solidarity,” she added.
