PM briefed on current status

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reiterated that Pakistan wants good neighbourly relations with all countries of the region, including India.

The Prime Minister was talking to Pakistan's High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit, who called on him at the PM's House here on Wednesday and briefed him on the status of Pakistan-India relations.

The Prime Minister said India is an important neighbor for us and we will like to have normal relations with the country on the basis of mutual respect and sovereign equality.

He said it is important that two countries resolve all their outstanding issues, including Jammu and Kashmir dispute, in order to have viable peace in the region.-INP
