RAWALPINDI: Pakistan military top brass reviewed the prevailing internal and external security situation including progress on Zarb-e-Azb operation in the 180th Corps Commanders' Conference held at General Headquarters with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif in the chair, here on Tuesday.

According to ISPR, the forum dwelt at length on various professional matters. The participants also undertook a comprehensive review of operational preparedness, prevalent internal and external security situation including progress on Zarb-e-Azb operation.

Defence sources said that the meeting also reviewed the implementation of the National Action Plan.

It was a coincidence that Corps Commanders' Conference was held at a time when foreign secretary of India is visiting Islamabad.
