JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is planning to hold an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the member states in view of the critical developments on the security and humanitarian fronts in Yemen.

The meeting will be held at the level of foreign ministers at the request of the legitimate leadership of the Republic of Yemen to discuss the latest developments concerning the current situation in Yemen and future perspectives.

The Saudi News Agency said the OIC is working to hold the meeting during the first half of May.

Along with its political efforts with all concerned states and parties, the OIC has also adopted a humanitarian relief campaign to help the Yemeni people overcome their difficult living conditions.—INP
