LAHORE: Field teams of the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) continued their operations against food outlets ignoring hygiene and quality guidelines on Monday and sealed some five bakeries and hotels while issued notices to over 100 shopkeepers for improving the cleanliness of their outlets.

DG Food Dr. Sajid Mehmood in a statement issued today said that a team under the leadership of Director Operations PFA Ayesha Mumtaz inspected the production unit of Shezan Bakery in Gulberg Town Industrial Area and sealed the premises for using dirty freezers and unhygienic conditions.

Similarly, in Nishtar Town area the Authority sealed one bakery and sweets shop for using expired milk and unsatisfactory cleaning of the utensils.
