LAHORE: The Punjab Irrigation Department has announced that its staff will be working during the holidays.

A department spokesman said on Friday that the field staff had been alerted because of the monsoon season.

The department will remain in touch with other departments including the Meteorological office, the Water and Power Development, Provincial Disaster Management and Indus River System Authorities and district administrations in case of emergency.
