WASHINGTON: Pakistan and United States have agreed to enhance bilateral trade, economic linkages and people-to-people contacts.

The understanding came at a meeting between Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Foreign Affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi and senior member of House Appropriations Committee, Dutch Ruppersberger in Washington.

The two sides discussed Pakistan-US bilateral relations with special focus on economic cooperation.

Tariq Fatemi highlighted government’s measures for domestic economic growth and to increase revenues and trade between the two countries.

Dutch Ruppersberger identified Education and Energy sectors as priorities of the US Congress in expanding economic cooperation with Pakistan.—NNI
