KARACHI: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Thursday resolved not to withdraw parliamentary motions against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNAs.

MQM has formally notified the government about its decision. According to sources, JUI chief Fazlur Rehman phoned MQM leader Altaf Hussain and both the leaders exchanged views over their motions against PTI. According to them, motions are as per law and constitution and therefore PTI lawmakers have no right to sit in the parliament.

The sources said that MQM has informed the government of its decision. Reportedly, MQM’s Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui informed Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid and Khawaja Saad Rafique of party leadership’s decision.—NNI
