ISLAMABAD: The Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and the UK high commissioner Philip Barton exchanged views Tuesday on the murder case of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Imran Farooq and a reference that federal government had filed against MQM chief Altaf Hussain.

Official sources said that Nisar and Barton met at the Punjab House.

The Interior Minister said that government had decided to send a ‘legal reference’ against MQM chief for his provocative statement against the state institution.

The spokesman for Ministry of Interior said that Pakistan-UK relations, regional situation and other issues of mutual concern also came under discussion.
