Former MPA, leaders of PPP, PML-N join PTI

LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party former MPA Chaudhry Mohammad Shabbir as well as 25 leaders belonging to the PPP and PML-N have announced joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. The Shia’s Qaumi Markaz Khawajgaan has also announced support for the PTI for the by-election.
PPP’s former MPA Chaudhry Shabbir, PML-N’s Lahore leaders Rana Ijaz, Sheikh Muhammad Ismail Khan, Khalid Raza Khan, Hamid Raza Gillani, Khalid Shaheen, Qazi Pervaiz, Qazi Nasir, Naeem Shad advocate, Arif Chaudhry, Babar Chaudhry, Sheikh Azhar, Shafqat Ahmad Butt, Waqar Shah, Nasir Chinioti, PPP’s Dr Moeen, Muhammad Rasheed, Azmat Sultan, Nabeel Abbasi, Shahid Gul, Aftab Gul, Sultan Mujahid, Minhas, Hamza Gul, Ahmad and Saadat Ali announced their joining during a meeting with PTI Punjab organiser Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed and MPA Mian Aslam Iqbal on Saturday. They expressed their confidence in PTI chief Imran Khan.
Speaking on this occasion PTI Punjab organiser Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said party chief Imran Khan would address a mammoth gathering in Lahore on Sunday. He said the PTI would prove that Lahore was now fort of the PTI. He said that rulers would not be able to win the by-election and will face humiliating defeat.
Sarwar said that in October 4’s public meeting of Imran Khan would expose rulers’ corruption as well as announce PTI’s manifesto and its people-friendly policies.
He claimed that PML-N and PPP were history and the future belonged to the PTI. Chaudhry Sarwar said that all segments of the society were supporting the PTI for the Oct 11 by-election. He said the rulers were now seeing their defeat clearly and that is why that they were trying to win the support of the people by harassing and pressurizing the people. He said the PTI had prepared a plan to teach a lesson to those, who would try to rig the by-election. He said that PTI Tigers would remain alert at polling stations. He said that those elements trying to rig the elections would be exposed.
