RECORDER REPORT

LAHORE: The Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WCCI) has urged women entrepreneurs to introduce their products in international market to enhance the country’s non-traditional exports.

The call came in an address by President Iram Shaheen Malik who was chief guest on the second-day of the Small Medium Enterprises (SME) pavilion.

The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) set up the pavilion at the 12th South Asian Association for Regional Corporation’s trade fair and the ninth WEXNET-2015.

She said she hoped the current exhibition would prove to be a milestone and praised efforts by both the SMEDA and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) to help introduce women enterprises in the main stream of trade and industry.

The pavilion was made-up of 14 stalls entailing woman-made products from Haripur and Peshawar.
