ISLAMABAD: Expressing dismay over unnecessary delay in computerizing the land revenue record in Sindh the top court on Wednesday sought a comprehensive report from Chief Secretary of the province.

During the course of proceedings, a three-member bench led by the Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali showed satisfaction in Land Record Management Information System (LRMIS) in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces.

Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali observed that court’s orders have not been implemented in letter and spirit in the current matter, adding that the next hearing of the case would be resumed in Karachi registry.

Justice Amir Hani Muslim observed that concerned authorities of the Sindh failed to computerize even a single district’s land in the last five years.
