LAHORE: The Bait-ul-Sukoon Cancer Hospital treated over 15,000 cancer patients entirely free of cost since its inception.

The hospital spends around one to two million rupees on average while charging them nothing in return.

Moreover, it provides tertiary and palliative care to all cancer patients with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery, symptomatic, and supportive management, pain management, investigative procedures, blood transfusion, follow-up care, boarding and lodging.

Doctor Jawaid Mallick, the Medical Director, said on Tuesday the hospital was established in 1999 as a hospice.

“It has provided treatment to 15,295 in-house patients and 50,963 out-patient department cases.
