SAN SALVADOR: El Salvador coffee exports fell by 26.9 percent in June, hit by drought and depressed international prices, the national coffee council said on Tuesday.

Shipments abroad totaled 44,766 60-kg bags, compared with 61,262 bags in the same month of the previous harvest.

Exports in the first nine months of the 2015/2016 season reached 358,519 60-kg bags, down 33.5 percent from the same period during the previous cycle.
